1.The early bird catches the worm - If we do something early , before other people we will successful .
2. A tall order - If you say something's a tall order, you mean that it'll be hard to do or difficult to achieve.
3. Jack of all trades, master of none - Who can do many different types of work is probably not very good at any of them.
4. Keep your nose clean - Stay out of trouble by making sure you don't do anything wrong.
5. Rules are made to be broken - There are times when we should think for ourselves and not obey every rule blindly.
6. Off the record - You don't want it in the public record, or reported in the media or be minuted in the meeting.
7. Talk turkey - You discuss something seriously, usually to do with business or money.
8. Out of the blue - You're not expecting it to happen and you're surprised when it does.
9. The salt of the earth - A very good and honest person.
Example : Mr Jones is the salt
of the earth; he is the first to help anyone in trouble.
10. If you can’t do the little things right, you will never do
the big things right.
