I'M THE BOSS

When we are not engaged in thinking about some definite problem, we usually spend about 95% of our time thinking about ourselves. Now if we stop thinking about ourselves for awhile and begin to think of the other man’s good points, we won’t have to resort to flattery so cheap and false that it can be spotted almost before it is out of the mouth. Be hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise and people will cherish your words and treasure them and repeat them over a lifetime and repeat them years after you have forgotten them.

The only way on earth to influence the other fellow is to talk about what he or she wants and show him or her how to get it’. As a CEO or General Manager of the Company you don’t think that you are superb or great. If there is any one secret of success, it lies in the ability to get the other person’s point of view and see things from his or her angle as well as from your own. If we want to make friends, let’s put ourselves out to do things for other people. Things that require time, energy, unselfishness and thoughtfulness. Let’s greet people with animation and enthusiasm.

I still remember my good Chinese friend said to me when we are youth, It goes like this “ A man without a smiling face must not open a shop”. If you teach a man anything, he never learn. Learning is an active process. We learn by doing. So if you desire to master the principles you are studying, do something about them. Apply rules at every opportunity. If you don’t, you will forget them quickly. Only knowledge that is used sticks in your mind.
